Head of LexPro Lexington Specialty Insurance Agency (an AIG Company)

Julia Keenan is currently Head of LexPro, within Lexington Insurance Agency (‘LSIA’, an AIG Company) - A leading global provider of insurance, reinsurance and investment management services.

Julia joined LSIA on 1/1/2021 to start up LexPro, the Financial Lines division of LSIA, focusing on wholesale produced Private and Not for Profit business.  Prior to joining LSIA, Julia was the Head of Management Liability at Validus Specialty Underwriters (‘VSU’), which was acquired by AIG in 2018. 

Julia joined VSU in 2017 to establish a Commercial D&O practice in the US, focusing on Private, Non Profit and Public Company business, with industry specific concentration in Private Equity/Venture Capital backed companies, Healthcare and Energy.

 Prior to joining VSU, Julia spent 8 years at Zurich, most recently as VP of Retail Distribution for Middle Market D&O.  Julia began her insurance career at Arch Insurance in 2004, where she held roles of increasing responsibility in both New York and Los Angeles.

Julia is an active member of PLUS (Professional Liability Underwriting Society) and The Bridge, and an active contributor to industry publications and regular panel speaker. 

She is also involved in women’s leadership initiatives within the insurance industry.  Julia graduated from New York University, with honors.
